CHICAGO — An Englewood man has been charged in a Garfield Park car crash that left several people injured, including 1- and 6-year-old boys, police said.

Ricky Pearson, 27, of the 5600 block of South Morgan, was driving on Lake Street when he went through a red light and hit a car, causing the other car to hit a pillar, according to a Chicago Police news release.

Two boys, who were 1 and 6 years old, were tossed out of the other car and were seriously wounded and hospitalized, according to police. A 25-year-old woman was also treated for minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Pearson faces charges of aggravated DUI and driving on a suspended license.
