CHICAGO — A 30-year-old woman was fatally shot while sitting in a cab in Armour Square Friday night, according to police.

The woman was in the backseat of a cab in the 3800 block of South Princeton Avenue, two blocks south of Sox Park, at 9:45 p.m. Friday when shots rang out, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman.

She was struck in her back and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition before she was pronounced dead, Estrada said.

The woman has been identified as Shari Graham, of the 7700 block of South Paulina Street, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. Graham died at 10:30 p.m. Friday night, according to the medical examiner.

Police are still working to determine where shots came from and who was the intended target, Estrada said. No arrests have been made.
