Xoco Bistro to Hold Ticketed 4-Course Moody Tongue Beer Dinner Tuesday

WICKER PARK — Xoco Bistro is teaming with Moody Tongue Brewery to host a four-course dinner and tasting Tuesday, featuring a not-yet-released beer from the Pilsen-based brewery.

A $70 ticket will buy guests access to the entire meal at the Rick Bayless-owned restaurant, 1471 N. Milwaukee Ave., plus five beers including the limited-release Barrel-Aged Chocolate Barleywine.

The entire menu, courtesy of the restaurant's event page, includes the following:

Welcome Beer: Applewood Gold (yet-to-be released)

1st Course: “Express” Coconut Ceviche / Lime, meyer lemon and coconut-marinated albacore, shaved serrano chile, young coconut, cilantro Beer: Lemon Saison

2nd Course: Chamoy-Glazed Feature Fish / Tangy and spicy Chamoy (guajillo chile, dry apricot, lime) glazed fish, cauliflower puree, roasted potatoes Beer: Sliced Nectarine IPA

3rd Course: Chicken in Mole Poblano / Gunthorp Farm’s roasted chicken breast, rich and complex Mole Poblano (dark red chiles, nuts, seeds, and Mexican chocolate) queso anejo mashed potatoes, grilled knob onion. Beer: Caramelized Chocolate Churro Porter

4th Course: TBA dessert / Xoco housemade chocolate Beer: Barrel-Aged Chocolate Barleywine
