SAUGANASH — The Sauganash Community Association will host a forum to give residents of the 15th District in the Illinois House a chance to meet the candidates running in the March primary election.

The forum is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. March 1 at Sauganash Park, 5861 N. Kostner Ave.

Jac Charlier, who co-founded the Fair Allocation in Runways Coalition to fight O'Hare jet noise, is challenging State Rep. John D'Amico's bid for re-election in the Democratic primary.

Jonathan Edelman is running unopposed in the Republican primary.

While organizers said Charlier and Edelman would attend the forum, D'Amico said he would not be able to attend since the General Assembly is scheduled to be in session in Springfield that week.

The 15th House District includes Edgebrook, Sauganash, Mayfair and the Northwest Suburbs.

Robert Murphy and Patrick Molloy, who are vying for the 39th Ward committeeman position, will both attend the forum, organizers said.

Other candidates scheduled to attend include those running for judgeships, state offices, county positions and Congress, organizers said.

Each candidate will have a few minutes to make a statement before fielding questions from the moderator, organizers said.

Questions for the candidates can be submitted to specialevents@sauganash.org until Sunday.

The election takes place March 15.
