Englewood Drive-By Shooting Kills Man Monday Morning, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 28-year-old man is dead after being wounded in a drive-by shooting in Englewood Monday morning.

The incident occurred in the 6400 block of South Eggleston Avenue at 9:45 a.m., according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

After someone in a passing vehicle shot him in his head, he later was pronounced dead at St. Bernard Hospital.

The man was identified as Nicholas Robinson, 28, of the 6400 block of South Parnell, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Robinson was pronounced dead at 9:58 a.m. of multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

No one is in custody.
