CHICAGO — Single-game tickets for the Cubs' 2016 season will go on sale next week.

You'll be able to buy tickets Feb. 26 by going to Cubs.com or calling 800-843-2827. At 9:30 a.m., customers will be able to enter a "virtual waiting room." At 10 a.m., customers will be randomly selected from the waiting room and will be able to buy tickets.

Cubs fans with a MasterCard can get their tickets earlier, but with a 15 percent premium, during the MasterCard Presale. The presale runs from noon on Feb. 23 to 11:59 p.m. Feb. 24. Customers who use a different form of payment will be able to buy tickets at a 20 percent premium.

The team cannot sell single-game tickets in person until closer to the season's start because of construction around Wrigley Field.

The Cubs home opener is April 11.

The Cubs and Wrigley Field are 95 percent owned by a trust established for the benefit of the family of Joe Ricketts, owner and CEO of DNAinfo.com. Joe Ricketts has no direct involvement in the management of the iconic team.
