
CHICAGO — One woman has been killed and one man injured in shootings since Wednesday, police said.
A 20-year-old woman was being shown a gun in Auburn Gresham when the gun accidentally fired and she was shot in her head, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
A 60-year-old man was wounded in Humboldt Park when a stray bullet hit him, Pacheco said. Two cars of people had been shooting at each other nearby.
No other reported shootings have left people injured or killed, Pacheco said.
More than 80 people have been killed since the start of 2016, the majority of them in shootings.
