LOGAN SQUARE — The neighborhood tiki spot Lost Lake is once again in the running for a national award.

Lost Lake, which has been open for about a year, was named the only Chicago semifinalist for the James Beard Award for outstanding bar program.

The Violet Hour in Wicker Park won the prestigious award in 2015, and the Aviary in Fulton Market won the award in 2013.

The James Beard Awards, considered the major award in food and drink, announced the semifinalists Wednesday.

Lost Lake is among 20 bars that are up for the award.

The tiki bar, which is run by Paul McGee at 3154 W. Diversey Ave., was named Cocktail Bar of the Year in December by Imbibe, a well respected trade magazine.

The award ceremony will be held for the second straight year in Chicago on May 2 at the Lyric Opera House.
