CHICAGO — A shooting in Uptown left a 22-year-old man injured Tuesday morning, police said.
At 2:45 a.m., the man was driving in the 900 block of West Leland Avenue when a car pulled alongside him and someone in the car shot at the man, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man was hit multiple times in the body, head and neck. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in "stable" condition, Sedevic said.
The man is a documented gang member, police said.
No one was in custody in the shooting.
