Gage Park Shooting Injures 15-Year-Old Girl As She Walks Outside: Police

CHICAGO — A 15-year-old girl was shot and wounded Monday night in Gage Park, police said.

At 10 p.m., the girl was walking in the 5100 block of South Homan Avenue when she heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The girl was shot in the shoulder and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was in "stable" condition, Sedevic said.

No one was in custody in the shooting.
