BACK OF THE YARDS — A 24-year-old man was found with a fatal gunshot wound in Back of the Yards early Saturday morning, police said.

Around 3:50 a.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 4700 block of South Laflin Street, where they found the man unresponsive with a gunshot wound in his head, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to St. Bernard's Hospital, Sedevic said.

Lorenzo Garcia, of the 4800 block of South Laflin Street, was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:16 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

No one is in custody, Sedevic said.
