UPTOWN — A new 20-unit luxury apartment complex is heading to the Buena Park area and developers want a new restaurant or cafe to accompany it.
Andrea Miller, of Miller Chicago Real Estate, said the "up-and-coming neighborhood" is ripe for development with Thorek Memorial Hospital and the lakefront nearby, along with theaters just north of the area.
"We're really trying to motivate restaurants [or] cafes to lease out the ground-level commercial space. There are far more residential spaces in the area. There is a high-rise around the corner that holds 900 units. This area is in need of more restaurants within walking distance, especially since it plays a large part in business, social and artistic life," Miller said.
The 1,731-square-foot retail space will lease for $3,606 per month. It has 13-foot-high ceilings, according to the listing.
The complex at 4207 N. Broadway will offer newly constructed three- and four-bedroom apartments "in the heart of Buena Park," plus garage parking. The development also has shared rooftop access to grills, bathrooms and views of Wrigley Field for private events and parties, the listing said.
Rental prices for the apartments are not yet available, Miller said.
The building should be complete around May 1. The full brochure is available here.
