ASHBURN — A 19-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in Ashburn Thursday night, police said. 

At 7:40 p.m., a 19-year-old man checked himself into Christ Medical Center after being shot in his abdomen, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Police said the man said he was shot in the 2300 block West 79th Street, Pacheco said. 

The man is a documented gang member, police said. 

No one is in custody for the shooting, Pacheco said.
