CANARYVILLE — The Canaryville Library will soon host "Canaryville on Foot: From Fuller Park to the Union Stockyards," a walking tour to teach neighborhood folks more about the history of their home turf.

The free tour starts at 642 W. 43rd St. on March 2, running from 6-7:40 p.m.

Walkers will explore the history of the neighborhood with urbanologist Max Grinnell, who will reveal little-known facts about one of Chicago's most storied slices.

The program is part of One Book, One Chicago, a library program aimed at engaging and teaching city residents about their communities.
