RIVER WEST — Don't have Valentine's Day plans yet? A Brooklyn couple invites you to dine at home.

Someone else's home.

PlaceInvaders, a New York-based dinner club that pops up at secret locales across the country, is taking its show to an undisclosed River West abode from Feb. 12 to 14.

The group will host three dinners and two brunches featuring punny menu items including "The Hot Date" (honey-drizzled dates and prosciutto on smoked ricotta) and "Shall I Campari Thee?" (a Manhattan with Campari ice cubes). The company derives its name (and logo) from the classic Space Invaders arcade game. It's led by two Brooklynites who pick the venues and cook the five-course dinners themselves.

"Neither of us are professionally trained, but we like to throw a good party," said Katie Smith-Adair, one of PlaceInvaders' co-founders.

The River West home is owned by an art collector with lots of cool decor, Smith-Adair said. Aside from the art, the home features great views of the city, she said.

The Valentine's parties make up the second event here for PlaceInvaders, which hosted similar soirées last fall in Printers Row. Brunch will cost $70 and dinner will cost $110, but dinner will include unlimited wine.

"Knock on wood everyone is always really well-behaved," Smith-Adair said.

There are only 14 spots per meal. Those interested can sign up on the PlaceInvaders website to get reservation and location info.
