HUMBOLDT PARK— A shooting in Humboldt Park left one man dead and another man wounded Thursday, police said.

At 5:15 p.m., two men, 18 and 20, were inside a business when someone walked in and fired shots at them in the 3700 block of West Division Street, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The younger man was shot in the head and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Estrada said. Police originally said he was 19 years old.

Later he was identified as 18-year-old John Mackey, of the 2600 block of West Potomac Avenue. He was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 6:06 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

The 20-year-old man was shot in the elbow and taken to the same hospital, where he is listed in "stable" condition, Estrada said. Police did not say the extent of his injuries.

No one is in custody, Estrada said.
