SOUTH SHORE — Two men were wounded in separate South Shore shootings since Tuesday afternoon, police said.

At 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, a 20-year-old man was shot while looking for a parking space in the 6700 block of South Merrill Avenue on Monday, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman. The man was shot in his head, taken to Jackson Park Hospital and later transferred to Stroger Hospital where he was listed in serious condition, Estrada said. 

At 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, a 26-year-old man was shot in the 7800 block of South Colfax Avenue, Estrada said. The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and listed in fair condition, Estrada said. 

No one is in custody, Estrada said.
