Marquette Park Robbery Ends With Man Being Shot, Police Say

MARQUETTE PARK — A 20-year-old man shot and wounded during a robbery in Marquette Park Tuesday afternoon, police said. 

At 3:40 p.m., the man was shot in his armpit after being robbed in the 7000 block of South Rockwell Avenue, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to Christ Medical Center where he is listed in"stable" condition, Estrada said.

No one is in custody for the shootings, Estrada said.
