Garfield Park Shootings Leave Two Men Wounded, Police Say

GARFIELD PARK— Two men were wounded in separate Garfield Park shootings on Tuesday, police said.

At 10:30 p.m., a 20-year-old man was in the 4700 block of West Jackson Boulevard when someone walked up to him and tried to rob him, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman. The man was shot in his leg and taken to Loyola Medical Center where he was listed in good condition, Estrada said.

At 9:30 p.m., a 32-year old man was sitting in a parked car when he was shot in the 4400 block of West Monroe Street, Estrada said. The man was taken Mt. Sinai Hospital was he was listed in "stable" condition, Estrada said.

No one is in custody for the shootings, Estrada said.
