AUSTIN — A 16-year-old boy died Wednesday morning after he was shot in his face in Austin, police said.
At 8 a.m., the teen was walking in the 5000 block of West Ferdinand Street when he was shot, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
Martell Sanders-Anderson, of the 5000 block of West Ohio Street, was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital at 8:53 a.m., according to the Cook County Examiner's office.
No one is custody, Pacheco said.
