COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — Police recovered more than $600 of Taboo Tabou merchandise when they arrested three shoplifters Sunday night, prosecutors said.

Ratero Walker, 19; Deavin Oliver, 21; and Aaliyah Foster, 20, each face one count of retail theft.

"You cannot go back to Taboo Tabou," Cook County Judge Peggy Chiampas told Walker during a bond hearing Tuesday inside the Leighton Criminal Courthouse, 2600 S. California Ave.

Walker smiled and replied, "yes, ma'am," before leaving the courtroom chuckling.

Foster appeared before the judge Tuesday wearing the same bright pink striped pants and furry black boots that can be seen in Taboo Tabou surveillance footage of the theft.

Chiampas on Tuesday said Walker, Oliver and Foster could be released on their own recognizance if they qualify for the Cook County Sheriff's Office's electronic monitoring program. If not, each suspect is responsible for $10,000 bail.

As of Tuesday evening, all three were in county custody.

According to police, trio walked into Taboo Tabou, 843 W. Belmont Ave., on Sunday night and began shoving items in bags. Officers recovered $601.05 worth of stolen wares when they arrested Walker, Foster and Oliver about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, court records show.

Taboo Tabou employees told DNAinfo Chicago a group of five people entered the store Sunday night and asked for a bag to hold items they'd bought from another store. Employee Alex Cuzzo said she gave them a bag, and the group immediately went downstairs to the lingerie and bachelorette items.

Cuzzo said she felt nervous and began washing front windows to guard the store's entrance. Downstairs, a girl from the group began to ask another employee questions. At the same time, a surveillance video shows people grabbing items and putting them into bags.

Surveillance video:

Cuzzo and the other employee asked the group to put the merchandise back on the counter as the group tried to leave, but they pushed past her and ran out, Cuzzo said.

Later, the employees and store owner saw the group walking down Belmont Avenue and ran after them. Police stopped the group and took three people into custody.
