Check Out the GIANT Video Screens At U.S. Cellular Field (PHOTOS)

ARMOUR SQUARE — The neighborhood’s about to get a big screen.

Construction crews recently installed two 2,500-square-foot video boards in right and left field at the Cell. Now, it’s on to the giant center field board — a mega screen measuring over 7,000 square feet and including digital versions of the Cell’s famed spinning pinwheels.

Sox officials expect the board to be up by the middle of February.

Here’s a look at the progress inside the ballpark so far:

The $7.3-million center field board — almost five times the size of the team’s old board, the smallest in Major League Baseball — will put the ballpark in MLB’s Top 10 for biggest screens.

In October, the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority, the government agency that owns the ballpark, released renderings of what the screens will look like when construction is complete:
