CHICAGO LAWN — Police are asking for help finding the driver of a minivan that fatally struck a 72-year-old woman in Chicago Lawn last month, according to an alert released Monday.

Around 2:05 a.m. on Jan. 19, the woman was crossing the street in the 6400 block of South Kedzie Avenue when the minivan hit her and its driver fled, according to police.

Police describe the car as a tan-colored 1999-2003 Chrysler Town and Country minivan with possible damage to the passenger-side headlight assembly.

Anyone with information on the minivan or the incident is encouraged to call the Major Accident Investigation Unit at 312-745-4521.
