CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man was fatally wounded in a West Englewood shooting early Saturday, according to police.

Police responded to calls of shots fired in the 5900 block of South Bishop Street at 1:05 am. when they found the 19-year-old man on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to his head and body, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman.

He was pronounced dead on the scene, Estrada said.

The man was identified as Damon Allen Jr., of the 1400 block of North Central Avenue, according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Allen was pronounced dead 1:15 a.m. of multiple gunshot wounds.

No arrests have been made as the investigation is ongoing.

The shooting could have been drug related, according to police.
