CHICAGO — A 26-year-old man was shot to death in West Garfield Park early Saturday, according to police.
The man was shot in what police said was a possible drive-by while he was in the 0-100 block of North Kilbourn Avenue at 2:55 a.m. Saturday, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman.
He was struck multiple times in his side, Estrada said, and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Demorrow Stephens, of the 900 block of Waller was pronounced dead at 3:12 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. Police originally said the victim was 31 years old.
The man is a documented gang member, according to police. No arrests have been made, Estrada said.
