BRAINERD — A man and a teen were wounded in separate shootings on the South Side on Thursday, police said.

At 1:40 p.m., a 35-year-old man was walking in the 7100 block of South Seeley Avenue in West Englewood when he was shot in the left arm, said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.

The man was taken to Holy Cross Hospital where he was listed in "stable" condition, Estrada said.

At 12:50 p.m., a 17-year-old teen was walking in the 9100 block of South Laflin Street in Brainerd when he was shot in the hand, Estrada said.

The teen, who police said is a documented gang member, was taken to Christ Medical Center where he was listed in good condition, Estrada said.

No one is custody for either shooting, Estrada said.
