By Kelly Bauer | January 28, 2016 8:12am

CHICAGO — An 18-year-old woman was wounded early Thursday during a shooting on the Dan Ryan Expressway, police said.

At 2:20 a.m., the woman was in a car when she got into an argument with people in another car near 79th Street and Lafayette Avenue in Chatham, according to an Illinois State Police news release.

The woman drove down the 79th Street ramp to the Dan Ryan and was followed by the other car, police said. At least one person in the other car fired at the woman multiple times before speeding off and getting off the expressway.

The woman was treated at Little Company of Mary Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

No one was in custody in the shooting.
