NORTH LAWNDALE — Ald. Michael Scott Jr. is hosting a job fair in the North Lawndale neighborhood Thursday. 

The 24th Ward job fair will bring together employers from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday at the Douglas Park Field House, 1401 S. Sacramento Blvd. 

Representatives from the Chicago Police Department, CTA, Cook County Sheriff's Office, Chicago Botanical Gardens and Brookfield Zoo will be at the job fair Thursday. 

Later that night, at 6, Scott will host a 24th Ward community meeting at Greater Open Door Church, 1301 S. Sawyer Ave. 

The 24th Ward includes parts of North Lawndale, West Garfield Park and South Austin.
