Washington Heights Shooting Kills Man As He Drives Car, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Washington Heights left a 25-year-old man dead Monday, police said.

At 8:22 p.m., officers responded to calls of shots fired in the 10600 block of South Sangamon Avenue, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. They found the man in the driver's seat of a crashed car. He had been shot in his back and crashed into a parked car.

The man was taken to Roseland Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The man was identified as Senclair Hill, of the 107th block of South Church Street, in Cook County Medical Examiner's records. Hill was pronounced dead at 8:45 p.m.

No one was in custody in the shooting, Pacheco said.
