NORWOOD PARK — An adult enrichment class that will take place at Resurrection College Prep High School is designed to answer questions about the historical figure of Jesus, organizers said.
The four-session class titled A Walk with the Historical Jesus costs $50. Classes will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 23, March 8, March 22 and April 5, organizers said.
The course, taught by Resurrection College Prep High School faculty member Mike Longo, will seek to answer how Christians can meet challenges to their faith by examining Jesus' life and message, organizers said.
The books for the course include "Eager to Love: The Alternative Way of Francis of Assisi" by The Rev. Richard Rohr and "The Heart of Christianity - Rediscovering A Life of Faith" by Marcus J. Borg. The class will also discuss the work of John Dominic Crossan, a theologian and historian.
