CHICAGO — A 24-year-old man was shot in Morgan Park on Saturday, police said.

At 5:30 p.m., the man was walking on the sidewalk in the 11400 block of South Church Street when a dark-colored car pulled alongside him, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman. Someone got out of the car and shot at the man.

The man was hit in his right ankle and was taken to MetroSouth Medical Center, where he was in good condition, Estrada said. The shooter ran away.
