CHICAGO — It's certainly no Snowpacalypse (or Snowzilla, etc. etc.) but the city will get a gloomy start to the week with drizzle on Monday.

The week will start warm — by January's standards — with a high of 39 degrees on Monday, but there may be freezing drizzle and rain, said meteorologist John Feerick. That could cause icy patches in the morning and wet roads later on, but the drizzle shouldn't start until "shortly after morning rush hour," Feerick said.

Tuesday is expected to see light snow showers and flurries, Feerick said, with a high of 35 degrees and a low of 21 degrees.

"I don't think we're talking about any accumulation," Feerick said. "But [it's] something to keep an eye on."

Temperatures are expected to dip into the 20s on Wednesday but then rise to the upper-30s on Thursday and Friday, Feerick said. It could be 40 degrees or warmer on Saturday, he said.

Either way, we can be glad not to be digging out from more than two feet of snow this week nor dealing with another onset of Chiberia — just as meteorologists promised back in November.
