BACK OF THE YARDS — A 19-year-old man was found shot to death Thursday night in an alley near the 1700 block of West 47th Street in Back of the Yards, police said.
At 10:20 p.m., officers found the man lying face down next to a SUV, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman. He was shot in the chest and he was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Estrada said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Juan Gonzalez of the 5100 block of South Bishop Avenue.
No one is in custody for the shooting, Estrada said.
