CHICAGO — One man was killed and four others wounded in shootings Tuesday, police said.
A 24-year-old man was shot in his right cheek in Englewood in an incident that might be related to drugs, police said. The man was later pronounced dead. Two other men were wounded in the shooting.
In non-fatal shootings:
• At 9:24 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in Brighton Park, said Officer Nicole Trainor, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was a passenger in a car in the 3000 block of West 42nd Street when a gray sedan pulled up and someone from the car fired shots.
The man's head was grazed by a bullet, Trainor said. He refused medical care.
• At 9:15 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in Austin, Trainor said. The man was walking in the 200 block of South Lotus when someone walked up to him and shot him.
The man was hit in his left arm and was taken to Loretto Hospital by a friend, Trainor said. Information on the man's condition was not immediately available.
No one is in custody in these shootings.
