WEST SIDE — Two men were wounded in separate shootings on the West Side on Tuesday, police said.

At 9:15 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in the 2800 block of West Jackson Avenue in East Garfield Park, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man, who is a documented gang member, was walking down the street when a car pulled up and someone inside shot at him. He was hit in his left thigh and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in "stable" condition, Pacheco said.

At 5:08 p.m., a 32-year-old man was standing on the street in the 3700 block of West Roosevelt Road in North Lawndale when someone walked up to him and shot him, Pacheco said. He was hit in his arm and leg and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition, Pacheco said.

No one is in custody for either shooting, she said.
