WICKER PARK — Craving a Cuban food or drink fix? Dove's Luncheonette, the oft-packed diner just south of the CTA Damen Blue Line "L" tracks, plans to host "Cuba Night" on the first Sunday of every month.

Kicking off at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 7, Cuba Night at Dove’s Luncheonette at 1545 N. Damen Ave. will offer Cuban-inspired rum cocktails, food specials and Cuban music from DJ Courtland Green, who will be behind the bar spinning Cuban records.

Since opening in in September 2014, Dove's Chef Dennis Bernard has focused the menu on Southern-inspired Mexican cuisine, but on Cuba Night, Bernard and team will also prepare papas rellenas (fried stuffed potatoes), medianoche (a roast pork and ham sandwich), ropa vieja (stewed beef with vegetables) and chuleta de puerco (grilled pork chop), according to a news release.

Cuba Night cocktails with a Botran Reserva Blanca Rum base include Naranjada (rum, coconut, orange, Lime); Cinnamon Mojito (rum, Cinnamon, Lime, Mint, Soda) The Miner's Lunch (rum, Pelotón de la Muerte Mezcal, Giffard Banane, Lime); and The Comrade (rum, Dolin Dry Vermouth, Amaro di Angostura, Grapefruit Bitters).
