Roseland Shooting Kills 32-Year-Old Man, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 32-year-old man was shot and killed in Roseland on Saturday, police said.

At 10:23 a.m., the man was in the 11200 block of South Normal Avenue when he was shot in his chest, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.

The man was identified as Corey Ferguson, of Gary, Indiana, in Cook County Medical Examiner's records. Ferguson was pronounced dead of multiple gunshot wounds at 11:16 a.m., according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

A man is in custody in the shooting.
