Garfield Ridge Shooting Kills 34-Year-Old Man, Police Say

CHICAGO — A man was shot and killed in Garfield Ridge on Saturday, police said.

At 11:50 a.m., the man was in the 4500 block of South Cicero Avenue when he was shot in the right side of his torso, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition and was later pronounced dead.

The man was identified as Quintae Little, 34, of the 4500 block of South Lavergne, according to Cook County Medical Examiner's records. Little was pronounced dead at 12:46 p.m.

Police found a gun with the victim.

Police originally said Little was 27 years old.

No one is in custody in the shooting.
