By Kelly Bauer | January 17, 2016 8:57am

CHICAGO — A 39-year-old woman was shot and wounded while on a party bus in Chatham, police said.

At 2:45 a.m. Sunday, the party bus was in the 7600 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when a man in a car shot at the party bus, hitting the woman in her thigh, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The shooter had gotten into a fight on the street with several men from the party bus earlier in the night, Sedevic said.

The woman was driven to Jackson Park Hospital, where she was in "stable" condition, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody in the shooting.
