CHICAGO — A 17-year-old shot in East Garfield Park Thursday died a day after the shooting, according to the medical examiner's records.

At 5:25 p.m. Thursday, 17-year-old  George Anderson was shot in his back in the 600 block of South Sacramento Avenue in East Garfield Park, according to Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman.

Anderson, of the 3400 block of West Flournoy Street, was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was listed in "stable" condition, Estrada said. He died at 6 a.m. Friday at the hospital, according to records from the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

No arrests have been made in the case, police said.
