DOWNTOWN — Repairs around Millennium Park's garage will require the city to shut down most of a stretch of Columbus Drive starting Monday.

Columbus will be reduced to one lane each way from Randolph to Monroe streets, the Chicago Department of Transportation said Friday. Construction is expected to last about five weeks, weather permitting.

Motorists who park in the garage can still enter and exit at Monroe Street, the city said. Otherwise, motorists can use Michigan Avenue as an alternate route.
