LAKEVIEW — Police are asking for help identifying two men they believe were behind North Side store robberies over the weekend.

First, around 3:55 a.m. Saturday, a man walked into a store in the 1400 block of West Irving Park Road carrying a knife and "implie[d] that he had a pistol," according to a community alert issued Tuesday. The man is described as being in his 20s, 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a black hooded jacket and a black baseball cap (pictured above on the left).

Then, around 8 p.m. Sunday, police said the same man robbed a store in the 2100 block of North Clybourn Avenue, this time alongside an "accomplice." Police describe the other man as a "Hispanic wearing a black hooded jacket and black pants" (pictured above on the right).

Anyone with information on the suspects or the robberies is encouraged to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
