Chicago Fed Economist Joins Saint Xavier Experts for Panel Discussion

MOUNT GREENWOOD — Saint Xavier University's Graham School of Management will host its second annual economic summit from 7:30-9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 26.

The panel discussion will be held Downtown at the Metropolitan Club’s east room on the 67th floor of the Willis Tower, 233 S. Wacker Dr.

Panelists include William Strauss, a senior economist and advisor for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Dr. Indranil Ghosh, associate professor of economics at Saint Xavier and Dr. Song Wang, assistant professor of finance at the school based in Mount Greenwood.

The discussion will be moderated by Saint Xavier's Dr. Monzurul Hoque, a professor of finance and chair of the Graham School’s Department of Economics, Finance, and Quantitative Analysis.

Topics will include raising the interest rate, regional cluster formations and critical issues of recovery after the Great Recession. A question-and-answer session will immediately follow the discussion.

“We’re honored to have William Strauss join us again this year for the panel discussion,” said Dr. Asghar Sabbaghi, dean and professor at the Graham School.
