JEFFERSON PARK — Six homes in Jefferson Park have been burglarized during the day and early evening in recent weeks, police warned this week.
The incidents happened in the:
• 5500 block of North Mulligan Avenue between 7 and 9:30 p.m. Dec. 18
• 5600 block of West Wilson Avenue between 1:30 and 11 p.m. Dec. 19
• 4600 block of West Melvina Avenue at 4 p.m. Dec. 21
• 6200 block of West Eastwood Avenue between 7:30 p.m. Dec. 29 and 12:30 a.m. Dec. 30
• 4500 block of North Austin Avenue at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday
• 4500 block of North Mulligan Avenue between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Wednesday.
Earlier this week, police warned Portage Park residents about a spate of burglaries.
The burglars entered the homes and apartments through doors and windows and took electronics, jewelry and cash, police said.
