EAST VILLAGE — A traveling dance party plans to host an early morning workout Wednesday at The Annex in the recently remodeled Amber Building just west of Chicago and Ashland avenues.

Billed as a "mood booster," Wednesday's alcohol-free Daybreaker party will have a "winter white" theme and be "full of spirit, promoting love and mindfulness to give attendees an uplifting, energizing start to the day," organizers said.

A spokeswoman for Daybreaker, a New York City-based movement that expanded to Chicago last year, said Wednesday will be the group's fourth local event. Three other Chicago morning workouts have attracted around 400 attendees, the spokeswoman said.

Set for 6 to 9 a.m. Wednesday at The Annex, 1620 W. Chicago Ave., the three-hour session starts off with yoga followed by a dance party from 7 to 9 a.m. Tickets, which include coffee, juice and breakfast, are $25-$35 and can be bought online.

Founded by Matthew Brimer and Radha Agrawal, Daybreaker "is about dancing before daybreak with people we love; about curating a community of camaraderie, self-expression, wellness, and mischief," according to a news release.
