CHICAGO — The Lyric Opera will launch an initiative on Thursday to celebrate the city's diverse singing history.
The initiative, called Chicago Voices, will be a community-based group that celebrates "the diversity of Chicago vocal traditions," according to a news release.
Representatives from the Lyric Opera are expected to announce the initiative on Thursday night.
