UPTOWN — The Town Hall Police District will hold its first CAPS meeting using a new format Tuesday at Courtenay Language Arts Center in Uptown.

At 6:30 p.m., officers from beat 1913 will meet with the public at the school at 4420 N. Beacon St. to discuss area crime.

Beat 1913 is bordered by Montrose Avenue on the south, Lawrence Avenue on the north, Broadway on the east and Clark Street on the west.

In November, the Chicago Police Department announced changes to CAPS meetings formats in 2016, which include bimonthly meetings on specific crime prevention strategies.

After Tuesday's CAPS meeting, the Sheridan Park Neighbors Association will meet to discuss neighborhood happenings since its last meeting in September.
