CHICAGO — Think you're tough? Try shoveling snow in a blizzard wearing a skirt and holding a purse.
An unearthed Chicago Film Archives two-minute flick is highlighted by a woman in 1937 bravely handling a city snowstorm in high-heeled shoes and a skirt. She's shoveling snow with her right hand while holding a dark-colored purse in the other.
The film, part of the Pilsen-based Archives' Glick-Berolzheimer Collection, also features kids playing on snowhills near city streets and a man — with a winter coat and pants — trying to shovel snow.
