CHICAGO — Four people have been arrested after the driver of a car tried to run down an officer in Lakeview, police said.
At 2:10 a.m., police responded to a report of a battery in the 3000 block of North Clybourn Avenue, said Officer Nicole Trainor, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. A man driving a car tried to hit an officer while driving away, and another officer fired at the car, Trainor said.
The car was stopped by other officers. Four people inside were arrested, Trainor said, and police found a pellet gun in the car. No one was injured.
