CHICAGO — Two people were injured in a shooting in Uptown outside the Aragon Ballroom where Chicago rapper Lil Durk and several DJs performed early Sunday.

At 2:30 a.m., a 68-year-old man was standing outside in the 1100 block of West Lawrence Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was hit in his leg and was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he was in good condition.

A 34-year-old woman was in a car nearby when she, too, was struck by a bullet. She drove to Leland and Sheridan, where she called police, Sedevic said. She had a graze wound on her forehead and was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in good condition.

Later, police found an SUV crashed into a building in the same vicinity as the shooting, but no one was in it, Sedevic said.

Aragon Ballroom, 1106 W. Lawrence Ave., played host to College Craze 4, an 18+ event featuring DJ sets. Chicago rapper Lil Durk also performed at the show. Lil Durk has previously made headlines for multiple gun charges, beefing with Chief Keef, and the shootings deaths of members of his group (including a cousin and manager).

Uptown Update reported that hundreds of people were exiting the venue as the shooting took place. One reader told Uptown Update that "shooters jumped out of SUV into another car, bullet casings all over the street (and bullet holes in 2 cars parked on Lawrence in front of Bridgeview Bank). ... This corner has always been a safe haven for the neighborhood and I am disgusted and mad."

No one is in custody for the shooting.
